THE CITY OF STRONGSVILLE

Situated in the industrious heart of Northeast Ohio, Strongsville emerges as a beacon of economic opportunity. With a robust economic base and a vibrant community spirit, this city of 45,000 residents is a testament to progressive growth and quality living.

Strongsville is home to four bustling business parks, which collectively host nearly 200 companies. These parks are spread across over 2,000 acres, demonstrating Strongsville’s capacity for large-scale corporate and manufacturing operations. Among the notable business districts, the Strongsville Business & Technology Park, which spans 1,693 acres and employs over 3,000 individuals, stands out as the largest in the area and was recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Business Magazine as the number one business park in Northeast Ohio in 2018. The Dow Circle Research & Development Park and Darice Parkway host some of the city’s largest employers, showcasing the diversity of its industrial strength.

Economic development in Strongsville is a priority, with initiatives that support a pro-business environment. This focus has resulted in attracting technology-oriented businesses like Vitamix and Foundation Software, as well as the North American headquarters for global players such as CCL Industries. Tax increment financing agreements have also been established to direct new property taxes generated by site improvements toward infrastructure upgrades, ensuring that the city’s growth is sustainable and well-supported. This is bolstered by an educated workforce that supports the city’s innovative business landscape.

The city’s key assets extend beyond its economic ventures. With a focus on maintaining green space, Strongsville provides a campus-like setting that harmonizes commercial development with environmental stewardship. Environmental sustainability is interwoven with city planning, as evidenced by the city’s investment in green manufacturing and technology parks, which are designed with green space in mind.

Strongsville represents an optimal place for businesses to grow. The construction of a new town center renovation and the approval of TIF agreements foster its ongoing development. Its strategic location, proactive economic development policies, and infrastructure improvements make it a standout community for current and future generations.

Strongsville aims to continue enhancing walkability and downtown amenities, connecting them with safe walking paths, and maintaining high residential property values.
